House Arrest
The House Arrest Department is located within the Adult Residential Center, and operates on a 24-hour basis. House Arrest involves a philosophy of strictly limiting an offender's movement within the community through electronic monitoring. Each assigned offender has electronic monitoring equipment attached to his/her telephone line, which verifies the offender is in his/her residence through photographic and voice response. In addition, each electronic monitoring unit contains a breathalyzer, allowing the House Arrest department to monitor the offender for consumption of alcohol while in his/her residence.
Our House Arrest program is accredited through the American Correctional Association (ACA). Our program was initially accredited in 1997 and was the third program nationally to receive such accreditation.
